Perform Annulment
This article provides steps to annul the Marriage Sacrament in the system.
You can record a marriage annulment using the Perform Annulment process on the Marriage Sacrament card of one of the spouses. Completing Perform Annulment on one member also automatically completes the process for the spouse.
Note* You can perform the annulment process during the Perform Divorce life event. If you are completing the Perform Annulment process separately from Perform Divorce, the best practice is to complete the Perform Divorce process first.
Complete these steps to Perform the Annulment in the system:
1. In Directory, search for and select the member to view the Member Detail Page.
2. In the main menu, select Sacraments.
3. On the Marriage Sacrament card, click the View Details button.
4. Click the ellipsis to view the drop-down menu.
5. In the drop-down menu, select Perform Annulment.
6. Click the Yes, Annul button.
The annulment is denoted by the exclamation point icon and gold bar on the Marriage Sacrament Card of both members.
