This article provides information about what is included on the Edit Giving Settings card and steps to change the Public Contact Information Email Address and Phone Number, Payment Types, and the External ID.
1. In Settings on the Edit Giving Settings card, from the ellipses (3 vertical dots) select Edit Giving Settings from the dropdown menu for the Side Menu to appear.
Public Contact Information: Email Address and Phone Number
The address for the automated giving email will default to firstname.lastname@example.org unless changed.
2. On the Side Menu, enter the desired Email Address and Set Online Giving Phone Number.
Accepted Payment Types
Most merchant accounts are approved for all credit card types. This setting shows what Payment Types have been selected (Bank and Credit Card) and is where to determine if American Express is offered or not.
Check this out for more information on restricting American Express. Also, contact support to change any Payment Types if desired.
3. If desired, Enable the Toggle to Accept American Express.
The external ID is an optional additional field that can be shown for public accounts in the system. This field is needed for some exports into other Church Management Programs or Accounting Software.
4. If desired, Enable the Toggle if it is desired to enable the External ID.
