This article provides steps to edit deposit accounts and give them a nickname on the Organization Settings card.
A Giving Administrator can edit the merchant deposit DBA (doing business as) account name on the organization setting card so they can give it a name (nickname) that makes sense to their staff when there are multiple accounts. This helps staff quickly differentiate the merchant accounts. (ie. school, parish general, maintenance etc.)
The nicknames for the DBA deposit accounts, the products they are assigned to and the last four digits of the deposit account number are viewable on the organization settings card. Support sets up this information. The administrator can only edit the actual nickname of the deposit accounts.
Note* The last four digits of the deposit account number are only viewable on the organization settings card if they were added by support.
Here are the steps for the administrator to edit the deposit account nicknames:
1. Go to Settings.
2. Click the ellipses (3 vertical dots) on the Organization Settings card to see the drop down menu.
3. Select Edit Deposit Accounts.
4. Make necessary edits to the deposit account name.
5. Click on Save to process.
Note* If an edited nickname is removed, the original DBA account number re appears if no other nickname is added again and also re appears on the Organization Settings Card if saved that way.
